Trama | Plastic Fisherman is a global educational project that uses art and social media to call attention to the dangers of marine plastic pollution. If we keep on polluting it with plastic and other toxic waste, it's not only the sea life that'll be disappearing: it will be every other form of life on this planet. During the week of 2023's Super Bowl LVII, we delivered an awareness message in the form of a social film named ‘No Healthy Ocean, No Football’ to remind everyone, everywhere that the quality of our lives depends on the health of our ocean. To tell this important message, we used NFL teams named after animals such as the Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Rams, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens. If we don’t take care of our ocean, we will lose everything we love, and that includes football. |
Problema | The ocean gives us 70% of our oxygen, generates 40% of our food, and absorbs 90% of the heat trapped by greenhouse gas emissions. The quality of our lives depends on the health of the ocean. Yet we pollute it with millions of tons of plastic every year. |
