Loup Blaster

Loup Blaster

Loup Blaster is a fresh new face on the design scene. Photography, piano-playing, cooking, singing, composing and myriad other activities all come naturally to this young multi-talented French animator/director, whose work cannot be defined as any one style.

Loup Blaster takes inspiration from the world around her in a quest to constantly surprise herself. Her diversity is perhaps best demonstrated by her video for the NUMéROBé track ‘Lighthouse’, which incorporates hand-drawn 2D animation and stop-motion techniques to intriguing effect. Currently working on a film about the refugee population of her hometown, Calais, Loup’s next project is to use images and sound to develop atmospheres, and experiment with perception and feelings. 

Jordan Bruner

Jordan Bruner

Brought up by a painter and a carpenter, Jordan seemed destined for a future in fine arts. Mythology, travel, and surprising narratives make Jordan’s work unique. Since joining Strange Beast, Jordan has directed commercials, music promos and interactive games for Linda McCartney, One Billion Rising and Paramore. Jordan’s style brings the screen to life, and offers surreal charm to any project. Beyond animation, Jordan has designed wallpaper, and soft furnishings as part of Clerkenwell Design Week. Her work has been screened at various festivals including Sundance, Best of Animation Block Party, LA and Pictoplasma, Berlin. Jordan was a winner of New York’s ADC Young Guns 2013.

Piccadilly Curtains is one of those rare talents who can take their hand to any technique. Curtains’ work spans interactive installations, live events, ceramics, branding, and animation.

As a Director, his work is led by beautiful design and bold concepts; as a Creative Director, he has brought together teams of artists to global success. Curtains strengths lay in creative development and pioneering new techniques in technology whilst always ensuring the idea is king.

He has directed a series of high profile projects including the live launch of Burberry Beijing, The British Fashion Awards, and an in camera projection extravaganza for Sauza 901 featuring Justin Timberlake.

Encyclopedia Pictura is Isaiah Saxon, Sean Hellfritsch and Daren Rabinovitch, a directing team working in film, game design, art, architecture and agriculture.

They offer an unorthodox, hands-on approach which results in unique and exciting results for every project. Their work is recognised worldwide as some of the most innovate in its field, always bringing you something unexpected and unseen. Encyclopedia Pictura live in San Francisco, they take their hand to many platforms last year launched a project called DIY.org, encouraging children to learn hands on skills and start sharing their inventions with the world. Their new video for Panda Bear “Boys Latin” has truly put them back on the map as kings of creativity.

PJADAD are a creative studio based in Stockholm working across communication, strategy and design. PJADAD is led by Art Director Petter Johansson. PJADAD develops strategies, design identities, products, installations and exhibitions, with innovation and inventiveness always playing common denominator.

As part of Strange Beast’s exhibition for Clerkenwell Design Week, PJADAD teamed up with Isberg to create “Collaborative Cooking” – a cooking machine that enables up to 5 chefs to cook a meal remotely, over the internet. They have recently been involved in the branding for the new movement called Wheely’s taking on the major coffee chains around the world, encouraging personal growth and community across the globe.

Andy Martin

Andy Martin

Born and raised in Sheffield, Andy moved to London in the late nineties. Andy’s online series “The Planets” has brought him world recognition and praise for his use of storytelling, comedy and creative animation techniques.

He has directed projects for Google, Coke, BT, E4 and Experian to name a few. Andy is guaranteed to bring charm and humour to any concept. It’s not just animation, his work also spreads into the music realms, Andy is a very talented composer and VO artist.

Andy is passionate about sharing his experience with fellow animators and designers and recently hosted a stop frame work shop at the Pick Me Up festival at Somerset house. 

Sam Mason

Sam Mason

Sam Mason was born in Tarrytown, New York (AKA Sleepy Hollow), Sam’swork fuses intricate model making with high end CG, and abstract live action. Since joining Strange Beast, he has directed campaigns for Coke, Toyota and Mazda, and continued work on his series of “Wild Robot” short films. Sam’s ability to push ideas to their fullest, and guide a team into producing something fresh for every project, has brought him notice as one of the best up-and coming Directors of 2013, recently added to the winner’s circle of ADC Young Guns.

Sam currently has a film in production blending all of his talents of 3D, Design and Music. 

Daren Rabinovitch

MUSUTA work has seen them awarded with a Cannes Gold Lion, in book status with D&AD, and bronze in The European Design Awards.

Their projects have been featured in numerous exhibitions and festivals around the world such as The Pompidou Museum in Paris, One_Dot_Zero in London and New York and the Design Film Festival in Singapore and Berlin. MUSUTA recently finished a promo for Solo45.

Parallel Teeth emerged from an isolated woodland in New Zealand and brought us a new wave ofdesign and animation. After working in London for many years, Rob returned to his homeland of New Zealand and signed with Strange Beast last year.

His work spans from hypnotic 2D animation to puppetry, and all the way to illustrated album artwork. Always working with new techniques, Rob’s personal touch gives you stunning surrealism with bold design. His films have been screened at the world’s best festivals including Pictoplasma and Anima +. Rob is a true artist and was awarded the ADC’s Young Gun award in 2013.
