| Filosofia | It has been a woozy of a year (two years?) and if there is one thing pulling us through it is the friendships we have kept and formed. A simple text, an unexpected call, a gif sent in the middle of the day has given us hope and joy and something to look forward to every day. Globe wanted to celebrate those friendships this International Friendship Day (July 30) and every day. Asian superstars Bright Vachirawit and Win Opas-Iamkajorn join Globe in launching the Friendship Day Challenge on Facebook Live with a music video featuring the classic friendship tune: Stand by Me by Ben E. King. Along with the music video, the stars invited their fans from all over the world to make their friends’ day better by filling the Internet with happiness, positivity, and togetherness. All they needed to do is post anything - it can be a photo, a meme, a funny GIF, or a touching message – that they feel will brighten up someone’s day and use the hashtag #AtinAngTrueFriendship (True Friendship is Ours). Chosen entries to the challenge will be reposted by the brand and better yet be featured on the Globe Bonifacio High Street billboard for everyone to see. But this is not all Globe has in store for all friends, the brand has more surprises up its sleeve for the rest of the year. We all need support as we navigate this scary new world.
