Trama | The line "You should get out more" has a double meaning. The litteral meaning is self-explanotry; the colloquial meaning is "to broaden your cultural horizon". |
Filosofia | The 3 ads are designed to show that NSO concerts are both enjoyable and culturally rewarding. They poke fun at viewers by playing very well known pieces of music - but pieces which viewers will associate with the wrong things. One of the ads features a piece widely known as the theme music from the Lone Ranger TV series, another is the music used in ads for a wellknown, old fashioned aftershave and the third is the music always used by RTE itself when promoting its Christmas programme schedule. |
Problema | The National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) is the orchestra of RTE, Ireland's state broadcasting company. As well as broadcasting on RTE Radio and Television stations, it is also one of the most active international orchestras performing and recording today. Our brief was to encourage more people to attend NSO concerts. |
