| Trama | RESCUER STORIES UNTOLD Recreated undocumented stories about when rescuers had to be rescued. Every time a disaster happens, someone is injured or ill, if there is an accident, people know they can rely on the Red Cross to be there. But who helps the Red Cross? We collected from dozens of testimonies from volunteers, 3 stories in which Red Cross’s very own rescuers ended up in danger, including stories of lives almost lost while attempting to save others. Understandably, there is no audiovisual testimony from these exact times in which disaster struck. So, we brought the volunteer testimonies to life. We invited Mexican artist Felix Hernandez to recreate those difficult moments with 3 hyper realistic mock-ups that allowed those stories to be preserved in the time and be shared for the Mexican red Cross’s Annual Collect. |
