The problem is, most creative work in this field is incredibly rational, featuring complicated science and 3D graphics of molecules working in joints. As such, it is often ignored because pain itself isn’t felt rationally. The fact is, pain has a voice. You usually groan or scream depending on your threshold. And the drama that accompanies pain is universal - it’s powerful, emotional and melodramatic. Very much like an opera really. However, no one wants the drama of pain in their life.
