Trama To kick off 2024, Jack in the Box introduced its latest innovation to its restaurants: Smashed Jack. A smashed-inspired patty featuring grilled onions, thick pickles, a new Boss Sauce on a buttery brioche bun, won over consumers mere days into launch. Not much of a surprise to the brand, as pre-launch consumer taste tests dubbed the newly released item ‘the best burger in fast food’*. What they didn’t anticipate? Selling out of the Smashed Jack in under two weeks.
 
Despite no paid media promotion of this innovative and immediately beloved burger, Smashed Jack now holds the highest launch week sales of ANY burger product at Jack in the Box in at least the last 6 years. Customers can’t get enough:

On the first Friday it was available, nearly 70,000 Smashed Jacks were ordered. 
In one case, there were 27 orders of a Smashed Jack on a single ticket. 
Residents of San Luis, Arizona have a special affinity for the brand new burger, one location selling over 1,000 Smashed Jacks since launch.

Don’t panic, the Smashed Jack is making its re-introduction to the menu on March 14, 2024, as the Jack in the Box team works quickly to meet the unprecedented demand of what’s shaping up to be the most popular burger in the nation.
