With energy and gasoline prices soaring, this case could hardly be more topical. But first let’s head back to 1988, when the Netflix series “Seoul Vibe” takes place. As the series made its debut in the Philippines, motorists were surprised to come across a gas station straight outta the Eighties – not the décor, but the ultra-competitive prices too. Anticipating crowds, the agency Gigil agency created an online reservation system. With the buzz around the operation, the pumps quickly ran dry, but also fuelled anticipation for the series, and allowed the agency to clock up a Bronze at AdFest in March.
