Redirecting fashion to warm the homeless

An association used the power of influence to make the winter less harsh for people on the streets.

Canada’s winter is brutal and many are suffering from the cold. The association Dans la Rue found an effective way of giving warm clothes to the homeless. The key? Influencers. Brands often send gifts – including clothing – to influencers, hoping they’ll promote the items. This time around, the influencers were encouraged to give the association’s address when a brand offered to send them clothes. So the clothes went directly to Dans la Rue, and onto the back of a person in need. But the brands still benefited, as both the influencers and the association praised their generosity.
