Being raised in the creative friendly fresh air of TBWA/Whybin Auckland, I was privileged to work under the watchful eye of creative legend, Andy Blood, who taught me to break moulds and disrupt everything.
In 2009 my Art Director and I rebranded ourselves as ‘Plankton’, and developed a following around the world due largely to our Cannes fundraising IPO, which saw us float shares in our creative future in an effort to send ourselves to Cannes.
Our global shareholder list now includes the likes of John Hunt, Nick Worthington and Nicholas Drake, all of whom we were lucky enough to catch up with in Cannes. Then, in 2010, we were named in Campaign Magazine’s Top 50 emerging talent portfolio, which was a great way to top off two years in the industry.
In 2012, we moved to Sydney to work under another creative legend, Damon Stapleton, who was looking to build a new team at Saatchi & Saatchi, Sydney. In the 2 years we spent there we ran creative lead on multiple projects, campaigns and pitches, helping Saatchi's client list grow from strength to strength.
At the end of 2013 we moved to Google as Creative Directors for the Asia Pacific region, working under creative mogul, John Merrifield. We now work as a global creative team helping brands and agencies effectively exploit Google's platforms, services and technologies.
