BriefA father and a son go on a road trip together in an attempt to reconnect after a lifetime of misunderstanding. It's a human story about real people in which the car - a 1979 Volkswagen Beetle - is at the same time a symbol of the differences between the two characters and the thing that finally brings them together. There's even a heartbreaking twist at the end. We plunge into a complicated father-son relationship in Volkswagen's long-form ad. We feel the tension between the pair as they set off on a road trip in a treasured vintage VW. They ride in uncomfortable silence, they argue, they laugh, they live. And while we dont understand all the complexities of their bond, the ad invites us to see the emotions attached to a brand that has been passed down from one generation to the next.

Trama Volkswagen releases emotional new short film.Throughout generations Volkswagen has been the subject of memories and family ties and for the first time Volkswagen Denmark now tells the story of how the car is more than a means of transportation; how it brings us together and moves us forward. The film depicts a conflicted father-son relationship. During a significant time in their lives, they go on a trip together in a 1979 Volkswagen Beetle and this is when they start to deal with their unresolved issues.
Problema This film deals with a family conflict in an unpolished and genuine portrait of a father and a son, who go on a trip together in an attempt to reconnect after a lifetime of misunderstanding. It's a human story about real people with real, unresolved issues, where the car - an old 1979 Volkswagen Beetle - acts as a third character and works as a symbol for the differences between the characters, but at the same time a motivated space for resolution.
