We united in support of Cycle for Survival – the movement to beat rare cancers which supports Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. While nearly 50 percent of all cancer diagnoses are classified as rare cancers, research on many of them goes underfunded. Taking on the name MADISON AVENUE SWEATMAKERS, the team at Eventive took action, taking turns riding the two stationary bikes we sponsored in a 4-hour long relay race hosted at NYC’s Metropolitan Pavilion. Moved by the heartfelt response from our crew, David Saalfrank, our Managing Director, sent out a rallying message to the team before the sweat had dried or sore muscles had a chance to set in:
Actions speak louder than words and that’s just what Team Eventive (aka Madison Avenue Sweatmakers) did when we brought to life one of our 5 agency values: Doing Good. We got in the saddle and rode with Cycle for Survival to raise funds to aid in developing better treatments to fight rare cancers. We rode and raised funds for colleagues, friends, family and anyone who has shown great courage in the face of this horrible disease. We want to thank everyone who supported our agency and donated to this great cause. And thanks to all of you, we are thrilled to announce that we exceeded our team pledge goal!
We welcome friends, family and clients to ride with us the next time as we know there is still a long road ahead to better treat, and ultimately, beat cancer. Keep doing good wherever and whenever you can.
David
