We have the world at our fingertips with our smartphones- everything is made easier. However, along with this technological advancement our spelling has suffered- bt rele ppl r just bein lazy. Alas, it appears smartphones are not necessarily for smart people!
Scrabble wifi was launched to combat this thriving disease where free wifi hotspots were established in places where you couldn’t get a connection. In order to get online your spelling abilities were put to the test with a game of scrabble-where you have to form a word from 7 letters that were mixed up. The score was converted into wifi minutes; the higher your score -the more internet minutes you gained. If you posted your activity on Facebook your score doubled.
Scrabble gave away over 110,000 minutes of free wifi and gave proof to the assertion that words can indeed “unlock a world of fun”.
